With a lifelong interest in health and fitness, Shay has developed a strong desire to help people develop an intrinsic interest towards an active lifestyle, helping them achieve a higher quality of life.
This interest began throughout years of endurance training during adolescence, whereby Shay became interested in the how to optimise his own performance as a runner. This led him to study Sport and Exercise Science at University of Birmingham, where he was educated in several areas including: anatomy + physiology, coaching styles, motivation and nutrition. During these modules, he learned about the true importance of physical activity and the role that it plays in improving the quality of people’s physical and mental health. Inspired by this, Shay decided to commit his future towards personal training, to help people achieve their health goals.
Shay’s methods are underpinned in contemporary and relevant research and are applied in an empathetic and supportive manner, to ensure that you build sustainable and enjoyable relationships with food and physical activity. These relationships provide the foundations for you to achieve your goals, whether they be related to body composition or simply wanting to be able to move pain-free and feel excellent.
